Guy M. Sconzo Memorial Scholarship

Dr. Guy M. Sconzo, who served as Humble ISD Superintendent of Schools from 2001 to 2016, passed away while surrounded by beloved family on Tuesday, April 21, after a battle with cancer. Dr. Sconzo worked in education for four decades, serving students in New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma and Texas. His career included 26 years as a Superintendent, including 15 years in Texas serving Humble ISD. Since retiring from Humble ISD, he served as Executive Director of the Fast Growth School Coalition. This scholarship was created by the Sconzo family in memory of Guy. 

Who is Eligible: Graduating seniors attending Humble ISD. Applicants must intend to pursue a degree in education. 

Amount Awarded: One senior student will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

Required Documents:
- High School transcript
- ACT, SAT or PSAT/NMSQT test scores
- At least one letter of recommendation
