Wish Upon a Star

I Wish I May, I Wish I Might,
Grant My Teacher’s Wish Tonight.


Every day, Humble ISD teachers shoot for the stars to provide their students with an exemplary education. Most teachers go beyond, opening their hearts for their students – and, often times, their own pocketbooks.

Although the district provides teachers with instructional materials, curriculum, and a minimal level of supplies, our teachers’ desires to explore beyond the stars have led many of them to spend their own money on school supplies for their students. Parents, community partners and local businesses have long supported teachers with donations but continue to ask: How can we help our schoolchildren?

Wish Upon A Star, That’s How.

Humble ISD has created the “Wish Upon A Star” program that allows parents and community members to directly assist teachers of their choice obtain specific, much-needed extra supplies. Here’s how the program works: Teachers have compiled wish lists, identifying additional supplies they would like in their classrooms. For example, one teacher has requested graduated cylinder-film canisters, ideal for middle-school science students studying action-reaction, chemical change, and rocketry. Another lists writing story cards while another requests a set of folders with brads and pockets or presentation tablets.

Follow the school links below to discover specific teachers’ wishes. Once there, just click on the teachers’ names to discover their special wishes. Granting a wish is only a click away!

Choose the gift, provide credit card information, or send a check to the Humble ISD Education Foundation at P.O. Box 2000, Humble, TX, 77347-2000. Be sure to note the specific teacher and wish.

Donations of actual wish list items, instead of sending a check or making credit card donations are also welcomed. Items can be delivered directly to a campus, clearly marked with the teacher’s name. Include the donor’s name, mailing address, phone numbers and email, if available.

Donations are tax-deductible.
