Get in the Game is a perfect Friday night family event.  Purchase your ticket today and skip the line on game day.  Get pre-sale tickets at Postal Annex on Northpark Drive until Friday, April 27, at noon.

WHAT: Every year, Bear Branch Elementary, Elm Grove Elementary, Foster Elementary, and Woodland Hills Elementary form a tournament to compete and raise money.  Each year, the funds go to a different school.  This time the funds will benefit Bear Branch Elementary.

“We have been waiting four years to receive the proceeds for the game.  It is a happy coincidence that it also fell on BBE's 40th birthday.  With Harvey effecting almost thirty of our BBE families and many others in our community, our PTA decided not host the Fall Festival which is a major fundraiser for our school.  The funds will be greatly appreciated by students and staff for the enrichment of our curriculum, purchasing Chromebooks and computer software such as Think Through Math, Go Noodle and Brain Pop.  It has been wonderful collaborating with our fellow KPHS feeder elementary schools to raise money to benefit all of our students and create a sense of comradery among the schools,” said Kathryn Palmer, Principal at Bear Branch.

Bear Branch will provide a half time show crowning Mrs. Patti Dickinson as Homecoming Queen. The Homecoming Court will be former principals Carolyn Clapp, Willie Eakin, and Kay Pruitt. Humble ISD Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Fagen, will roll out the first kickball pitch. Local community businesses have pitched in to sponsor the team’s shirt.  The sponsors are Camp Gladiator, Kids in Action, Postal Annex Plus, and PTI Sports and Recreation Construction.  The community has also embraced their support with the Kingwood Park High School Student Council sponsoring the inflatables, Camp Gladiator donating an obstacle course, and Strawbridge United Methodist Church providing games for the event.
