Prize Posse Rides Through Town
If you heard shouts of joy from educators on Friday, May 10th, the Humble ISD Foundation's Prize Posse is to blame. For the 14th year in a row, the Prize Posse came to town, awarding grants to Humble ISD educators. At the end of the day, $265,000 was awarded to thirty-seven schools for 109 projects. A total of $842,938 was awarded to Humble ISD schools during the entire 2012-2013 school year. A record year of support from the Foundation! This wouldn't have been possible without the strong support in our community for our 37,000 students.

Humble ISD Employees Pledge Over $90,000 to Foundation
One of the many ways Humble ISD ensures students are getting a high-quality education is to ensure that teachers have the opportunity to teach in effective ways, without being overly burdened by what it would personally cost them to do so. Often times, this means funding projects and processes that are unique to a particular teacher or school or programs that fall outside of the district's normal operating budget.
"Even schools that have highly active PTA/PTO organizations still find they need the Education Foundation to accomplish their missions of student centered learning. click here for more. . .
