Prize Posse Rides Through Town
If you heard shouts of joy from educators on Friday, May 10th, the Humble ISD Foundation's Prize Posse is to blame. For the 14th year in a row, the Prize Posse came to town, awarding grants to Humble ISD educators. At the end of the day, $265,000 was awarded to thirty-seven schools for 109 projects. A total of $842,938 was awarded to Humble ISD schools during the entire 2012-2013 school year. A record year of support from the Foundation! This wouldn't have been possible without the strong support in our community for our 37,000 students.

Humble ISD Employees Turn Mission from Impossible to Possible
This year's 2012-2013 Humble ISD Employee Campaign was our most successful yet! Over $200,000 was pledged by Humble ISD Employees to the Humble ISD Education Foundation with well over half of all employees making a pledge or gift. The campuses with the highest percentages of participation were Timbers Elementary School (98%), Humble High School (69%), Kingwood Middle School (74%) and The Cambridge School (96%). click here for more. . .
Furniture Traditions Donates "The Best Seat in the House"
With the help of Furniture Traditions in Humble, the best seat in the house at Friday's football game between Atascocita High and Kingwood High, will also be the most coveted. As a part of last year's Foundation Gala auction, Furniture Traditions donated two recliners that will be placed on the sidelines at Turner Stadium. Bert Brocker of Texan GMC was the top bidder for this item and will enjoy these great seats at Friday, October 26th's game. click here for more. . .
Kingwood Camerata Orchestra Concert to benefit Dr. Al Moore Fine Arts Fund
Kingwood Camerata Orchestra's fall concert will again benefit the Dr. Al Moore Fine Arts Fund. The concert entitled "The Brilliance of Baroque" will be October 28th, 4:00 pm at Kingwood Park High School's Performing Arts Center. More information and tickets can be purchased here.
Foundation Presentation at Humble ISD School Board Meeting
At the August 2012 Humble ISD School Board meeting, the Humble ISD Education Foundation presented school board trustees with a check representing the $614,433 the Foundation gave to Humble ISD in the 2011-2012 school year. These funds supported 140 innovative educational projects at thirty-eight campuses.

Students Learn Science and the Importance of Giving Back Through Gardening
Since 2009, colorful garden boxes have been sprouting up around the twenty-six elementary schools in Humble ISD.
The planting boxes, filled with seeds and starter plants, are part of an expanded, hands-on Life Science curriculum funded with a $450,000 grant from Waste Management. click here for more. . .
Humble ISD Employees Pledge Over $90,000 to Foundation
One of the many ways Humble ISD ensures students are getting a high-quality education is to ensure that teachers have the opportunity to teach in effective ways, without being overly burdened by what it would personally cost them to do so. Often times, this means funding projects and processes that are unique to a particular teacher or school or programs that fall outside of the district's normal operating budget.

Monbaron to Lead Humble ISD Office of Community Development
Jerri Monbaron has been promoted to Director of the Humble ISD Office of Community Development. Monbaron, who formerly served as Assistant Director, began leading the department following the December retirement of Dr. Karen Perkins. click here for more. . .

Purchased items can be picked up from the Foundation office at 20200 Eastway Village Drive in Humble (Humble ISD Administration Building). The Foundation office will be closed for the holidays from December 19th through January 1st.
Power to Kids Inc. Partnership Program
Power to Kid’s, Inc. has partnered with Tri-Eagle Energy of The Woodlands to offer a fund-raising program that may generate a steady income to benefit Humble ISD schools.
