Kroger supports students in making nutritional eating choices
Kroger is supporting a nutritional educational program in Humble ISD. Debbie Cain, Kroger-Humble Store Manager recently presented the Humble ISD Foundation with a check for $2,000. With these funds, elementary students will participate in physical education games incorporating food and nutrition lessons. In addition, the physical education coaches will provide informational materials on how to make healthy food choices at school and at home. Dr. Karen Perkins, Executive Director for the Foundation, said, "Kroger has a strong reputation in our community for supporting healthy, nutritional choices. This partnership with Humble ISD will advance both their mission and ours in giving our students healthy eating habits to last a lifetime."
