Invest in Innovation

The Foundation utilizes unrestricted donations and special events net revenues to fund the Innovative Education Grants Program. Individual donors may also contribute to the Innovative Education Grants Program.

A few of the innovative projects the Foundation has funded in the past are shown below. With your support, more of these creative learning opportunities can happen for all Humble ISD students. The next round of innovative education grants will be awarded on Friday, May 1, 2020. If you would like to contribute to the Innovative Education Grants Program, please click here.

INNOVATIVE EDUCATION GRANTS FUNDED

CAMP G.I.V.E. (Generously Investing Volunteering to Empower)
CAMP G.I.V.E. is a two week camp for sophomore and junior students that introduces them to the critical role of philanthropy in their local and global communities. This camp is the first of its kind in our community and was funded by a Foundation grant. Participants of the camp spent two weeks learning about philanthropy, volunteer service and how to become change agents in their community.

Service Learning: Design Build
Funding from this grant allowed students of Humble ISD to implement their knowledge of architecture, construction, engineering, and welding to construct a home for low income families in our community. The participants also painted, installed cabinetry, and framed out walls, windows and doors. This inspired many to pursue a career in architecture, construction, welding and engineering.

Creativity Fills the Sound Waves
Eagle Springs Elementary won a grant that allowed students the opportunity to learn music and their environment in an innovative way! This grant provided funding for an outdoor musical instrument, which gives students musical expression while teaching them about the science of sound and solar energy.
